Everybody Dies - A Childrens Book For Grown Ups

$7.00
In the wake of Go the F**k to sleep comes Everybody Dies - A Children's Book for Grown Ups. Written and illustrated by Ken Tanaka, "Everybody Dies" uses colorful illustrations to help grown-ups come to terms with the unavoidable fate that awaits them. Although meant for adults, "Everybody Dies" may be most effective when read to frightened parents by their children.

About the Artist:

Ken Tanaka was born in Los Angeles, adopted by a Japanese family and raised in Shimane, Japan. In 2007 he returned to Los Angeles to search for his birth parents, Jonathan and Linda Smith. Tanaka used YouTube as a means of this searching, quickly becoming a YouTube phenomenon with millions of fans. His award-winning videos include short films, documentary style footage, as well as wry explorations of the differences between American and Japanese culture and language. In 2009 the famed Los Angeles gallery, Billy Shire Fine Arts, held Tanaka's now historic inaugural art show, Maximum Pleasant, a humorous blend of Japanese and American pop culture.

Tanaka's tenacious media search for his missing birth parents has ignited a passionate Internet argument that alleges Tanaka is actually TV/film actor David Ury (Breaking Bad, Heroes). In response, Tanaka has uploaded a video showing him tracking down David Ury, discovering they are, in fact, long lost twin brothers. And yet the debate rages on, some arguing Tanaka and Ury are distinct individuals and that Tanaka's search is real, while others believe Ken Tanaka is simply a made-up character, the videos and art merely part of a multi-faceted conceptual art assault by Ury
