These Kids Can Sing, And We Have The Goosebumps To Prove It January 27, 2016 15:26 11 Comments
The moment that Jeffrey Li starts singing the beginning verses of ‘You Raise Me Up’ the emotions of his words can be felt immediately. His partner ‘Celine Tam’ is no exception, being the youngest of the two, her talents are nothing short of amazing. Their duet was uploaded to Youtube a few weeks ago, and it’s already gain over 22 million views and 72,000 likes.
These talented kids were performing for a Chinese show called ‘Let’s Sing Kids’ which is formatted similar to the American show ‘The Voice’. Instead of adults performing, they have children younger than 14 compete.
As with most children that have amazing talents, their career begins at a very early age. For 7 year old Celine Tam, music runs in her family, with her father being a music teacher for 3 decades in Hong Kong, he has definitely been her main inspiration. At age 4 Celine has been winning competitions, and currently has over 8 trophies in her name. This comes as no surprise when watching her effortlessly hitting high notes during her performance with Jeffrey.
Being 3 years older than Celine, Jeffrey seems to have the better vocal control between the two. Hailing from Canada, he has always been a fan of Celine Dion, and would practice her music endlessly. When he was about Celines age he started getting formal voice lessons, and from that point on his destiny was set in motion.
Both Celine and Jeffrey have been invited to the NBC show 'little Big Shots' produced by Ellen Degeneres. Celine Tam will also be the new contestant on Britain Got Talent, so make sure to stay tuned for that. Watch some more of these talented kids performances, it wouldn’t be surprising if you watch these many times.
