Family Fun Center Orange County CA, Off the Wall Social Huntington Beach

Off the Wall Social

In Today’s Kim’s Adventures we head off to a Family Fun Center Orange County CA at Off the Wall Social Huntington Beach. In March of 2017, Glowzone had opened their doors to the public, a local family fun center in Huntington Beach California. They offered 47,000 square feet of glow in the dark entertainment with challenging attractions such as laser tag, mini-golf, bowling and more. The location has since changed hands and was taken over by Off the Wall Gamezone.

Having operated Family Entertainment Centers for over 30 years, Off the Wall had their humble beginnings as a trampoline fun center. That evolved into Off the Wall Game zone, which branched off to their latest creation of Off the Wall Social. Off the wall social caters to a much older clientele combining modern entertainment with outstanding eats & spirits. But today wasn’t all fun and games, we were here to support our friend in his first Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Competition.

My first impression walking in was that this place looks Huge, and I was overwhelmed with all the activities. As you enter you can make your purchase at the front desk. And on the day that we went they were advertising a free Halloween event. At the arcade they have the latest games to old school classics. And you can win E-tickets that can be redeemed at their beautiful redemption center. At the center of the arcade, they have the award winning Hologate virtual reality attraction. This is a multiplayer virtual reality experience that will take you to a new dimension.

This is the first time seeing a bumper pool table, which seems like a mix between pool and foosball. After the match Dylan and his friends went to play some arcade games, and I went off to tour the rest of the center. The first attraction that caught my attention was the laser maze. Just like in a spy movie, players are surrounded by a web of laser beams as they navigate carefully to achieve a high score and complete their mission. I’ve always wanted to see if I could do one of these challenges. Next to the maze there was an area set up with artificial turf where guests can play games such as bocce ball or corn hole. At the far end there is laser tag arena, a fun team-based skill game for players 6 years old and up.

They provide a state-of-the-art vest with sensors, phasers with lots of fun special effects. Tag the other team through an awesome maze-like setting. Finally, there is the bowling alley, lit up in neon colors, it offers the perfect setting for a fun bowling experience. There are 2 VIP and 10 regular lanes to choose from. The bowling lanes were installed by Allied Bowling and has automatic scoring technology from Steltronics, the world’s leading independent scoring manufacturer since 1980.

There are also some party rooms such as Electric Avenue and Gamers Alley that can be rented, the packages can be viewed on their website. Links will be in the description below. Last but not least, we have the restaurant and bar where you can munch on an assortment of pizzas, burgers and appetizers. And if you feel the need to get wasted, they have a full bar ready to intoxicate you. By the end of the night, you’ll be telling every stranger in the room, I love you man. It’ll be a night you won’t remember. So, congratulations on your first jujitsu match, you really fought hard, I can’t believe you got to compete in such a cool place.
